    RARE IRON HORSE BIT with MULLEN type mouth
    This is a very
    UNUSUAL BIT.
    On the side at first it looked like a crest shape to me but as I looked at it more I could read 3 letters:
    FOX.
    The style of this bit is very unusual and it is the first one like it that I have seen.  I would say it is a very EARLY bit.  Other portions of the shank have a design in them as well.  If you can shed any light on this bit please let me know!
    There is also what looks like Copper on each side
    It has a 5" mouth
    Is a total of 5" long
    No Port
