Zenith Trans-Oceanic Wave Magnet H500 Chassis 5H40 Radio. Tested to work!
Good to Very Good condition. Exterior in excellent condition with no tears, and only minor wear on a lower rear corner. The top edge of the plastic face has some cracks, but they are all intact, with no missing chips. I've made no attempt to wick glue in there, but it should make for an easy repair/restoration. The rear edges of the Wave Magnet is chipped in a couple of places, but are invisible when it is mounted to the chassis.
The unit has been tested to work; I can pick up AM stations, and the dial moves through the bands without sticking. I don't know how/didn't try the shortwave bands. Please note that in one picture the antenna is only partially extended so I could show functionality i the picture. The antenna does indeed extend to it's full 36" height.
With the exception of the optional dry-cell battery, it looks to be 100% complete, including:
