    Vintage Rossi & Arcandi 'R&A' Italy Sterling Silver 925 Velvet Pillow Trinket Box, very rare. I cannot find this anywhere. This is a Vanity or Trinket box with a pillow outer body covered in red velvet in very good condition. The top is Sterling Silver stamped 925 and register #1179-F1 (difficult to capture, very, vert tiny stamp on back of lid).  Inside is a label stating:  Argenteria, R & A, # T.4444/595111.
    I researched this company and found it's location in a luxury high end building in Italy. They sell fine jewelry and silverware, establ. in 1959.
    Estate Sale find from a beautiful home, the owners sold everything to move to Italy. Nice idea. Condition is very good, showing minor wear as expected with age. A very small ding is on the silver top but does not distract from the beauty at all. Also, it has some writing etched on top?? See pictures for details. Definitely needs a good cleaning, looks amazing and a great piece, perfect for collectors.
