Part of Dreadbox’s affordable but powerful Chromatic Modules series, Ataxia is a dual modulator that operates in three sound-shaping modes: function generator, LFO, and ADSR envelope. Dreadbox has jammed a ton of tweakability into Ataxia’s 10HP module with four sliders that take on different duties such as ADSR, delay time, and waveform shape, depending on the selected mode. Ataxia’s two modulators can be individually manipulated and their settings saved in grab mode when switching between them. And, for even more flexibility, each modulator has a separate trigger input and voltage-controlled time, level, and velocity.
