Chinese Porcelain Qing Bleu de Hue Dish Vietnamese Scholar mid 18th c to 19th c.Chinese Dish, Qing Dynasty, mid 18th century to late 19th century, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province. Features under-glaze cobalt blue and marked on the base.
From the middle of the 18th Century to the end of the 19th Century, the Vietnamese court and aristocracy commissioned Chinese porcelain wares decorated in Vietnamese designs in under-glaze cobalt blue. This plate features scholar at his desk in typical Sino-Vietnamese literature.
