I could see this on my grandmother's dresser with safety pins in it.  This beautiful jewelry box has just a couple small dings down at the very bottom edge which I tried to catch in a photo but just got light reflection. .  The inside liner is a little loose from the very base, as shown in one photo.  The hinge works properly, the lid sits down snugly.
