At the heart of the 2020 edition of the Vostok lies three deep, and resonant VCOs. When operating the synth you'll feel right at home as the control section features everyone's favourite familiars. From here you'll have the ability to adjust glide, tune, width and level parameters. The outputs of the VCOs serve to produce square and saw wave signals. Both the VCO1 and 2 boast triple sub-oscillators that have been compiled to operate up to three octaves below the Vostok's standard pitch. This synth is capable of anything!
The weird and wonderful
Inspired by legendary '70s semi-modular synths. The Vostok incorporates a multi-functional 12dB diode ladder filter. The results when using this will be nothing short of innovative as diode ladders are renowned for their inconsistency and unpredictability. Make sure you're recording as no two sounds will ever be the same! Utilise the on-board filters to create weird and wonderful bandpass filtering styled effects.
More modulation
If tonal variety is your thing, you'll be pleased to know the Vostok offers next-level modulation opportunities. The on-board VC LFOs come complete with a sawtooth wave which can be inversed. Both of these parameters serve to provide you with independent level control, as well as an output. The inclusion of a CV-input allows you to determine the exact frequency at which the LFO operates at.
Unparalleled control
Become more expressive with the inclusion of an on-board X Y joystick. This gives you an unprecedented level of control over each and every parameter. Every note you play will be full of expression that will resonate with your intended audience. The spring reverb utilises three springs to produce the unmistakeable retro-reverb effect. By using the matrix, you'll be able to insert this directly within modules to create a great sense of depth and wonder.
